2011 and Photo Project (January 1 and 2)

2011 promises to be a year of big changes. I graduated less than a month ago, I am moving into a new apartment on my own within a week, and am getting married in less than 50 days.

I decided to start a photo project for a year to document the craziness and just to have a creative outlet. Some friends of mine have done this in the past. The basic premise of the project is really simple, to capture an image each day. Here are my first two.

January 1, 2011

My fiancé's family has a tradition of going to the beach  on New Year's Day. I managed to get a lot of photos of the little kids climbing on the rocks and a few of a really cool pirate ship kite that the youngest brother got for Christmas. After reviewing the pictures, I found that I liked this one the best.
 

January 2, 2011

This was my favorite pic from the 2nd. My fiancé's sister is going to help me do my hair for the wedding and we have been trying out different styles for the past couple of weeks. I wanted a picture of this one and my future sister got in the shot as well. We did not notice that another sister had sneaked into the frame, looking slightly confused. The image isn't as sharp as I would have liked, but it was interesting.
