Can't Sleep

I hate to admit it, but I suppose it was inevitable. Our cat, the one I chose from the shelter, brought home, and lovingly cared for has decided that it likes Micah better. The cat used to sleep at my feet, which showed genuine affection and good common sense because--let's be honest--there is a lot more room at my feet than at Micah's. I should have seen this coming.

One of Micah's odd quirks is that animals innately trust him. My mom's grumpy cat took to him right away, though the same cat gives me the side eye every time I am in Visalia and only will come to visit me when she is trying to punish my mom for doing something like putting her in a cardboard box in order to take her to the vet. My cousin's yappy dog happily curled up in Micah's lap during the family game of Balderdash last Christmas. Previously in the evening the dog had spent  her time being skittish and generally unfriendly. It makes me really jealous.

I can't sleep, so I thought I would relate the above sad news. Below, I have linked to some awesome things.

This is my new background on my work computer. (seriously, you should click the link). Everyone at work has commented on it and most think it is awesome. I do too, but then I find myself wondering if it minimizes the unbelievably dangerous working conditions the real men experienced while building the empire state building.

Awww....I was going to link to more things, but now I am tired. I should take advantage of it.

Until later,

H
