I Love the Internet

So I am trying to sell some things on ebay. I recently listed this old collection of manga I have had since junior high. They are out of print and the collection is complete, so I am hoping it will fetch me a few hundred dollars.

I listed the starting bid as $1.00, but I have a reserve price of $200.00. Now reserve prices work in the following manner. The potential buyer will enter a bid. If their max bid is less than my reserve, their max bid will be entered, but I am not obligated to sell it to them at that price. If their max bid is greater than my reserve price, it will bid them up to the reserve but no more. The bidding then proceeds from there.

Anyway....I guess not everyone gets this concept. I got the following message from a potential buyer.

Dear shortgiraffegirl,

your iyem has a problem which is why i caNCELLED MY BID.

YOUR ITEM AUTOMATICALLY BID MY NUMBER UP TO 200.00.
BY EBAY RULES THAT IS NOT SUPPOSED TO OCCUR UNLESS THE ITEM HAS MORE PEOPLE BIDDING. MY HIGHEST AMOUNT WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO GO IN AUTMATICALLY EVEN WITH A RESERVE AMOPUNT.

MAY I ASK WHY THIS OCCURRED AND SUGGEST YOU CHANGE THE SETTING?

ITEM IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE BID UP TO THE AMOUNT GIVEN AUTOMATICALLY. IT SHOUL;D ONLY BID AT THE STARTING PRICE.

sorry i did not mean to use caps button. it locked on me.

thank you.
please respond immediately. thank you
